Meet Greg Noseworthy! He is running in Ward 3.
My name is Greg Noseworthy, and I’m from the West End of St. John’s. I grew up in Cowan Heights but I now call Mundy Pond home. I’m a lawyer by trade who works with the non-profit Public Legal Information Association of NL to increase access to justice within our province. I also volunteer with many municipal, provincial, and national non-profits, such as Food First NL; the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse; Nature NL; and more. When I’m not working or volunteering I’m usually found participating in local recreational sports, including weight lifting and soccer. I also enjoy back country hiking our beautiful province. Anyone who knows me also knows that I love supporting our local craft beer industry, and you’ll often find me involved with local homebrewing competitions and craft beer events!
We asked Greg why he decided to run:
The city is facing a significant deficit and has been struggling in recent years to keep local businesses in our city. With my legal background I have given my professional expertise to the community through working with non-profits. Legal professionals are often expensive to access and I have made it my goal to change this. I pledge to keep an accessible and approachable city hall whereby anyone can pick up the phone and call me, drop by my office, or say hello while out and about. I believe my education, training, and skillset will give the residents of Ward 3 and St. John’s a representative that is for everyone so that our families and businesses can thrive. With this in mind, I’m fighting to have a positive impact on city hall so our local economy can rebound from COVID-19 stronger than ever so that we have bright future for everyone.
